Base to Base is a fitness challenge which will see you walk, ride, run or roll the distance between any of our four
Westpac Rescue Helicopter bases across Northern NSW throughout October.
Missions range from 42km to 1386km.
You and your team can collectively clock your kilometres to travel the distance and complete a mission.
Or – choose to fly solo! If you want to go it alone, that’s okay too.

Once you’ve chosen your mission, use your Base to Base page to raise vital funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to keep us ready to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We will be taking off together on October 1, so any kilometres logged before September 30 will be reset to zero so no-one gets a head start!

We are offering very cool rewards for active participants, and there are great prizes on offer for the top fundraising individuals and teams. PLUS, the first 1,000 participants to raise $50 will receive a limited edition Base to Base buff to get you moving in style.

Choose your mission and assemble your crew!

Your Impact

You Move. So we can Fly.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter proudly provides a vital aeromedical and search & rescue service for the people of Northern NSW, flying over 1500 missions a year.

Supporting an area of over 1.5 million people from three bases in Belmont, Tamworth and Lismore, the Service is there for those who need it most.

Your fundraising dollars help to keep the Rescue Helicopter flying 24-7 for those in need, like 17 year old Beauyn featured in this video.

The feeling I had when I saw the helicopter was unexplainable, it was just a feeling of relief, happiness and hope and I am forever thankful to the Westpac crew from that day,
