The Community’s Own Westpac Rescue Helicopter proudly provides a vital 24-7 aeromedical search & rescue service for the people of Northern NSW. Today the Service delivers world class care for 1.5 million people from three bases in Belmont, Tamworth and Lismore.
It costs about $40 million a year to keep the helicopters and crews ready to respond when needed. Every dollar we raise helps to keep the Rescue Helicopter flying 24-7 for those in need.
The event sponsorship proposal outlines how we shall acknowledge your support of the 2024 Ride for the Chopper.
Event Overview
The generous support of our community has kept the Rescue Helicopters flying and the Ride for the Chopper has raised over $200,000 just in the past two years. This ride will be our 22nd ride, and will also be celebrating 24 years of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service in the New England North West. Through the success of the Ride over the past 22 years we have been able to establish a strong connection to the wider community through community engagement, and pride ourselves on being able to produce a positive outcome for both our brand, and that of our sponsors.
The 2024 course will be held from the 13th to 20nd September, and is set to travel from Glen Innes back to Tamworth, travelling through areas such as Inverell, Warialda, Bingara and Manilla. To make this year another great success, we have several sponsorship opportunities available.
