2021 Knights Rescue Rally Itinerary 

5th May, Wednesday - Newcastle to Mudgee 

The adventure begins...

Departing McDonald Jones Stadium Broadmeadow at 9.30am, the journey to Mudgee begins. 

We will stop in at Denman for lunch, which will be provided by the local Westpac Rescue Helicopter Volunteer Support Group. 

Once arrived in Mudgee, we will enjoy the offerings of Burnbrae Winery before heading to the Oriental Hotel for dinner. 

What's included: Lunch at Denman; beer and wine tasting with nibbles at Burnbrae wines; and dinner at Oriental Hotel, Mudgee.

6th May, Thursday- Mudgee to Parkes 

King of the Mountain to The King of Rock 'n' Roll

After breakfast at Club Mudgee, we hit the road again and after a morning tea break at Sofala, we stop in at Bathurst for a lap around iconic Mount Panorama.

We break again for lunch at Carcoar before arriving in the Elvis captial of Australia. Here we tour the Kings Castle and will enjoy an Elvis themed dinner at Parkes Services Club - don't forget your costume! 

What's included: Breakfast at Club Mudgee; Lunch at Royal Hotel, Carcoar; Tour of Kings Castle with nibbles and drinks; and dinner at Parkes Services Club.

7th May, Friday– Parkes to Junee

A drive through the countryside 

Driving through the Central West, we head south to West Wyalong for a visit to a local gold mine.  

From here, enjoy the hours drive taking in the countryside views until reaching our lunch break location, Temora. 

Upon arrival in Junee, settle in to your accomodation and relax before a night out to dinner with Danny Buderus, Kurt Gidley and Matt Gidley.

What's included: Breakfast; lunch at Temora; bus transport to and from dinner and dinner at Wagga Wagga RSL.

8th May, Saturday – Game Day in Wagga  

Game Day 

We head from Junee to Wagga and the morning is yours to enjoy the sights of Wagga. Go shopping on the main strip of Baylis Street, visit the National Glass Gallery, stop by the Wollundry Lagoon or why not vist the iconic Wagga Beach down on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River - voted number 9 on the best beaches in Australia list by Tourism Australia's Beach Ambassador Brad Farmer!

We will meet for a casual lunch before a 1.30pm bus to the field, to expereince game day hospitality and get ready for kick off. 

What's included: Bus to the game; entry and hospitalty during the game; return bus back to RSL Club.

9th May, Sunday – Wagga to Newcastle 

Home time 

After four nights togther, the adventure comes to an end.

At your leisure, start the journey up the Hume Highway to head back to Newcastle.
