Team Millie did the monster mash

On the spookiest day of the year, team ambassador, Millie, together with her friends took to the streets for some trick or treating and clocked up a solid 10.8 kms in the Base-to-Base Challenge. 

Let's just say, they also scored some candy for their efforts.

Dan is "coming [home] strong" for Team Millie

Team Millie member, Dan, completed his 150 kms in the Base-to-Base Challenge by running up to the Byron Lighthouse at sunset. I am sure you would agree that this view is simply stunning!

Bente brings it home for Team Millie

Bente completed the Bouddi Coastal Walk this weekend for Team Millie leaving her only 2 km away from meeting her 150km target! What an effort, Bente!

Millie makes a splash in the Base to Base Challenge

Team Ambassador, Millie, will take any opportunity she can to get into the water for the Base-to-Base Challenge. Taking advantage of this gorgeous weather, Millie hopped into the pool to complete some additional kms to what she generally pumps out as part of her weekly swim squad sessions.  

She even snuck in a few handstands to finish off.

Keep those wheels turning for Team Millie!

The weekend means different things to many people but for the Campbell family it provides the sacred opportunity to spend time together as we complete kms for Team Millie.

This morning, Millie, Kit, Steph and Ian each rode 28 kms along the Fernleigh track from Adamstown to Belmont and back! It was a "wheelie" good time!

Tess, proud member of Team Millie, took a delightful walk around the streets of the inner west (Dulwich Hill, Petersham, Stanmore, Newtown and Enmore) today, clocking up an impressive 8.58kms! Team Millie visits the WRHS Base - "What Dreams are Made Of"

Some members and supporters of 'Team Millie' were fortunate enough to be invited to attend the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Broadmeadow Base for a turn in the helicopter flight simulator and a tour around the workshed. An absolute highlight was having Nicho (Graham Nickisson) (WRHS legend) play host and we even scored a visit from the famous Richard Jones!

Today the Campbell family strolled along the Newcastle beaches, whilst breathing in the salty sea air and soaking up the rays.

To kick-off the first day of the Challenge, the Campbell family marked the occasion with completing the Tomaree Head Summit walk. It was a spectacular view from the mountain top and the opportunity to whale watch brought some additional and unexpected joy whilst the ocean swim that followed was pure bliss!

Our Crew is fundraising for...

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service! We've registered to take part in the Base to Base Challenge, to raise funds for this worthwhile charity.

We’ve got one full month to complete our mission on foot, whilst the Rescue Helicopter will be completing approximately 120 missions by air.  While we won’t come close to the Rescue Helicopter’s maximum speed of 310km/h, we will be doing our part to help save lives across Northern NSW.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter provides urgent aeromedical assistance to over 1.5 million people, from Pre-Hospital Emergencies such as motor vehicle, farming and industrial accidents to Inter-Hospital Transfers of critically ill or injured.  As a flying intensive care unit, the crew is able to stabilise patients on the scene or in the air before safely and rapidly delivering them to the most appropriate hospital.

All funds raised on our mission this October will help keep the Rescue Helicopters ready to respond to those who need it most so please make a donation and support our Base to Base mission.
