HALF MARATHON MISSION
IN IT FOR THE LONG RUN
In 2024, Dan Lincoln will complete 8 HALF MARATHONS, one in every state and territory in Australia while raising funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Dan will be taking off on the 7th of January in Hobart with his final half marathon in Western Australia in November.
This challenge will see him run a total of 168kms and is completely self-funded with all donations supporting the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Dan’s motivation:
"I work in affordable and social housing and am passionate about helping people at their most vulnerable.
Misfortune doesn’t discriminate and anyone can find themselves in need of housing help as the result of a twist of fate or accident.
I first learned about the Westpac Rescue Helicopter through a colleague whose daughter was saved by the Service, and I was compelled to help.
No one ever expects to need emergency assistance and in remote parts of NSW, that help is not always easy to come by.
Knowing that the Rescue Helicopter can help those most vulnerable in an emergency really strikes a chord with me.
I’m excited and proud to be able to help make a small contribution to this essential charity."

Tuesday 14th May After a busy April with Half Marathons in Canberra and Newcastle, May will see me head slightly further afield to Noosa, for the Queensland leg of my Half Marathon Mission - run number 4 of 8!
A big month
Tuesday 2nd Apr April will be a busy month. The Canberra Half Marathon takes place on 7 April, exactly three months after my first run, down in Hobart, Tas.
