The Alive & Well on Farms Ride for the Chopper is about having fun, kicking your own goals, and raising money for your Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

The 2021 Alive & Well on Farms Ride for the Chopper will be a 8 day, 7 night mountain bike ride which will have a full support crew including safety vehicles, bike trailers, catering crew and a very experienced team of Riders to guide and assist you on the adventure of a lifetime!

The 20th Annual Alive & Well on Farms Ride for the Chopper will be travelling from Dubbo back to Tamworth, taking in the wonderful Wild West including Gilgandra, Coonamble, The Piliga, Coonabarabran & Gunnedah. There will be a local school visit along the way, awards, themed ride days, games and activities for all to enjoy.

Friday 10 Sept

Coach Transport to Dubbo – Departing 8am from Helicopter Base Tamworth.

DAY 2

Saturday 11 Sept

Cycling day trip around Dubbo, including visiting some of our wilder counterparts.

Ride Dubbo to Gilgandra

DAY 4

Monday 13 Sept

Ride Gilgandra to Coonamble

DAY 5

Tuesday 14 Sept

Ride Coonamble to Baradine

DAY 6

Wednesday 15 Sept

Ride Baradine to Coonabarabran

DAY 7

Thursday 16 Sept

Ride Coonabarabran to Gunnedah

Friday 17 Sept

Cycling from Gunnedah back to Tamworth. Final awards night dinner before farewelling your ride family until next year.

Riders fee

Each 7-day rider is asked to pay a ride fee that covers the following:

  • All meals including breakfasts, lunches, snacks and (for the first time in 2021) dinners
  • Quality accommodation in either holiday parks or motels
  • Support vehicles and support team
  • 2x 2021 RFTC Ride Jerseys & a polo shirt

TOTAL COST $850.00 pp + $500 fundraising minimum

Fundraising

Each rider is asked to raise a minimum of $500. Fundraising can be done via:

  • Your own fundraising page
  • Selling or purchasing one of the sponsorship packages
  • A personal donation
  • Holding your own event
  • Selling raffle tickets
  • Create your own polo shirt and sell logo positions to corporate companies
  • Come up with your own fundraising ideas!
