Are children allowed to take part?

Because of the distances we need to travel, the fact that we need to keep vehicles moving to get to our destination each day, and the expectation that entrants will attend night time functions, the event is not suitable for children. Consideration to allow under 18’s to enter the event in exceptional circumstances, if requested, will be decided by WRHS.

Fundraising

The Knights Rescue Rally is a new event designed in partnership between the WRHS and Newcastle Knights.  The event is designed to be a fundraising event for the Service and help generate funds to keep our Rescue Helicopters flying 24-7 for the people of Northern NSW.

The $500 p.p. entry fee covers meals, entry to the Knights game, merchandise, some local attractions along the way and a small donation to the Service.

There is no minimum fundraising amount required per team however teams are encouraged to fundraise and get their cars sponsored by local businesses, contacts or supporters.  Cars can be sponsored and have business or company logos on them.  It is at the discretion of each team to organise their own sponsor and fundraising.  These donations to you can be made through your Funraisin team page and are 100% tax deductible.

As an encouragement the highest fundraising vehicle will receive recognition on the perpetual trophy and receive a generous acknowledgement in recognition of your efforts.

Use your networks and personal contacts to support your team!!

Please contact WRHS on 4952 0000 and ask for Jeff Galbraith or Jason Bourke if you are wondering how this process works.

Team & Car Theming

Theming of cars and teams is not compulsory but we encourage teams to pick a theme and get into character.  This could be dressing as your favourite movie character, football team, sportsperson, Australian Icon, rockstar or childhood hero.

Cars can be decorated however sirens, smoke machines and flashing lights are not permitted.
